Job summary

CMC Markets is seeking a Security Platform Engineering Lead in London to define, build and operate a portfolio of reusable security capabilities. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering to deliver security controls as code embedded into infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, aligned to an AWS-first, Terraform-led platform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering of security controls delivered as code into cloud infrastructure
• Experience securing cloud-native workloads, AWS and serverless
• Deep IAM design and secure service-to-service communication
• Integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Policy as Code and Infrastructure as Code security enforcement
• Translate regulatory/security requirements into automated controls
• Lead cross-functional delivery of security platform capabilities
• Operate security platform services with reliability targets and measurable risk reduction

Responsibilities

• Define the strategic direction and technical vision for security platform engineering
• Build and lead a team delivering security capabilities as reusable platform products
• Own roadmap and delivery across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, IAM, and service integration
• Engage with internal customers to identify use cases and drive adoption
• Contribute hands-on to the platform and set technical standards
• Operate and support platform services with reliability and continuous improvement
• Measure adoption, coverage and risk reduction across squads
• Stay updated on trends and integrate them into the roadmap
• Mentor and coach the team through pairing and feedback
