Job summary

ClearRoute is seeking a senior, hands-on engineering leader to transform how its financial services client builds, tests and deploys software. You will have strong executive sponsorship and authority to unblock teams and influence strategy across multiple feature teams.

The focus is on automated testing, CI/CD, developer experience and AI-assisted development, with the opportunity to shape how teams work at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale engineering transformations.
• Proven ability to improve slow or manual processes at scale.
• Strong grounding in automated testing, CI/CD and modern deployment practices.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms and AWS recommended.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Engineering Health Plan and prioritise the improvement backlog.
• Transform testing to enable faster, safer delivery with automation.
• Enable continuous delivery and trunk-based deployment across teams.
• Shape AI-assisted engineering and review AI tooling usage in production.
