Job summary

Finova is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in Manchester on a hybrid model. You will own end-to-end multi-cloud infrastructure using modular Terraform across AWS, GCP and Azure, and optimize Buildkite and GitHub Actions pipelines to improve developer experience and release velocity.

You will embed security and compliance-as-code, drive cost-optimized observability, and mentor mid-level engineers while partnering with Principal Engineers to translate architecture into production outcomes.

Qualifications

• GCP production workloads design and scaling experience.
• Modular IaC using Terraform at scale.
• CI/CD automation with Buildkite and GitHub Actions.
• Security-first engineering in fintech environments.
• Autonomous work style with minimal supervision.
• Define internal self-service tooling and standards.
• Observability and cloud cost-optimization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain multi-cloud infra (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Lead Buildkite and GitHub Actions pipelines for faster releases.
• Create Golden Paths and self-service tooling for squads.
• Embed security scanning and compliance‑as‑code in pipelines.
• Drive observability and cost-optimization across platforms.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and perform code reviews.
