Job summary

LGT Wealth Management UK LLP is seeking a senior platform and infrastructure engineer to design, build and operate a secure Azure environment. You will lead automation, guardrails, and platform services, working with GitLab, Kubernetes, Terraform and Helm to drive reliable, scalable cloud solutions.

You will partner with architects and other engineers to deliver cloud adoption, environment design, and operational readiness, while embedding security, compliance and observability throughout.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior platform, infrastructure or cloud engineering role, preferably in financial services or another regulated environment.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, building and operating Microsoft Azure environments, including compute, networking and storage services, with identity, access management and cloud resilience.
• Demonstrable experience designing and improving CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or comparable tooling.
• Strong practical experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• Proven experience using Terraform to provision and manage cloud/on-prem infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior, hands-on engineer within Platform & Infrastructure, providing technical leadership and roadmap delivery.
• Design, build and operate a secure, resilient Azure infrastructure estate with CI/CD, IaC, containers and observability.
• Establish and evolve engineering standards, guardrails and reusable platform services.
• Lead delivery automation using GitLab, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform and DevOps practices.
• Own complex technical designs and operational issues, ensuring secure, cost-effective solutions.
• Partner with architects and teams to deliver cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.
• Embed security, compliance, monitoring and performance considerations in platform delivery.
• Contribute to technical reviews, documentation and team capability development.
