Job summary

Scale seeks an Infrastructure Software Engineer for the Apps Platform in London. You will help build deployment and observability layers across cloud providers and on-prem environments, with a focus on cloud-agnostic solutions and scalable pipelines.

You will partner with internal teams to optimize deployments, debug issues, and shape a roadmap balancing immediate needs with long-term architecture. This role emphasizes end-to-end ownership and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying enterprise solutions
• Deep expertise in infrastructure design, networking, VPNs, load balancers and firewalls
• Proficient with IaC, containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery (GitHub Actions/CircleCI)
• Experience with GitOps deployments and repeatable processes
• Good debugging skills with attention to performance and security tradeoffs
• Ability to balance reactive incidents with proactive product development

Responsibilities

• Expand deployment footprint across on-prem and multiple cloud providers
• Ensure fast, secure, and reproducible deployments across CSPs and on-prem
• Improve platform observability for customer deployments
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand needs and build tooling
• Respond to incidents with root-cause analysis and preventive fixes
• Develop and maintain product roadmap for deployment and observability
• Lead architecture reviews and own end-to-end projects
