Job summary

ARQ is a fast-growing fintech redefining money movement with a strong focus on secure, scalable infrastructure. We seek a Senior Software Engineer for the Platform team who will own the design and implementation of our infrastructure layer, enabling rapid provisioning, reliable deployments, and robust monitoring across global services.

You will work on a declarative, type-safe stack, building IaC patterns, CLI tools, and shared libraries to accelerate product engineering while maintaining

Qualifications

• Strong background in full-cycle software development.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in at least one typed language (TypeScript/Go/Rust/Java).
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and IaC (Pulumi/Terraform/CDK).
• Security-by-default mindset for platform design.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, highly-available infrastructure powering a fintech platform.
• Enable rapid spin-up of infrastructure via IaC libraries and CLI tools.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues with the wider engineering team.
• Roll out sweeping infrastructure changes with best practices and security improvements.
• Orchestrate multi-region deployments to meet security and compliance.
• Build and optimize high-volume CI infrastructure and reusable pipelines for a microservices architecture.
• Implement GitOps workflows for declarative deployments.
• Improve monitoring and alerting with Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
