Job summary

Dojo, the UK payments pioneer, is seeking a Platform Engineer to own core cloud foundations powering our products. You will design, build, and operate scalable cloud platforms, enabling engineering teams to ship faster with confidence.

As a senior IC in Core Infrastructure, you will drive end-to-end platform initiatives, enforce security and reliability, and mentor engineers while collaborating with cross-functional partners across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven production experience designing, operating, and owning scalable cloud-native platforms.
• Deep cloud-native expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and public cloud environments (GCP or AWS).
• Strong software engineering skills in Go, TypeScript, or C# for production tooling or automation.
• Experience with GitOps, ArgoCD, and CI/CD pipelines, including infrastructure APIs and guardrails.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, networking, service mesh (Istio), IAM, and observability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with developer empathy.

Responsibilities

• Own major platform initiatives end to end and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Design, build, and operate reusable cloud capabilities across compute, networking, identity, and data.
• Create secure self-service patterns and clear platform interfaces for developer teams.
• Lead workload modernisations and migrations onto supported cloud platforms.
• Partner with engineering and security teams to establish guardrails and drive adoption.
• Participate in compensated on-call rotations and improve automation and resilience.
