Job summary

Dojo is building the next generation of reliable, secure payment infrastructure and seeks an experienced Platform Engineer to own core foundations powering our products. You will design scalable cloud platforms, lead initiatives from discovery to production, and mentor engineers within the Core Infrastructure team.

As a senior individual contributor, you will translate complex requirements into self-service capabilities, drive architectural decisions, and partner across engineering and security

Qualifications

• Proven production experience designing, operating, and owning scalable cloud-native platforms.
• Deep cloud-native expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and public cloud environments (AWS or GCP).
• Strong software engineering skills in Go, C#, or TypeScript applied to production tooling or automation.
• Experience with GitOps, ArgoCD, and CI/CD pipelines, including automated policy guardrails and clear infrastructure APIs.
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems and networking, including service mesh (Istio), edge technologies (Cloudflare), IAM, and observability.
• Excellent technical judgment and clear communication with diverse engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own major platform initiatives end to end, making pragmatic architectural decisions and delivering measurable outcomes across core infrastructure.
• Design, build, and operate reusable cloud capabilities across compute, networking, identity, and data, elevating reliability and observability.
• Create secure self-service patterns and clear platform interfaces that reduce operational overhead for developer teams.
• Lead workload modernisations and migrations onto supported cloud platforms, driving consistency and efficiency.
• Partner with engineering and security to establish guardrails, drive adoption, and mentor engineers.
• Participate in a compensated on-call rotation, resolving complex issues and improving automation.

In this role, you will design and evolve scalable cloud platforms that empower engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate services with greater speed and confidence. As a senior individual contributor within our Core Infrastructure team, you will lead high-impact initiatives from discovery through to production, translate complex requirements into simple self-service capabilities, and make architectural decisions that deliver lasting value.

• Strong technical judgement and collaborative communication, with developer empathy and the ability to articulate trade-offs clearly to diverse audiences.
