Job summary

Preply is seeking a Platform Software Engineer within the Developer Platform team. You will build and operate CI/CD systems and dev tooling that enable Preply engineers to ship quickly and safely.

You’ll own the developer journey from coding through testing and deployment, and you will shape internal platforms and tooling to reduce friction and accelerate delivery. AI-native workflows will play a key role in improving processes and quality gates.

Qualifications

• CI/CD depth: hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD systems at scale.
• Extensive backend experience (~8 years) designing and building complex systems.
• Proficiency in Python for platform services and automation.
• AI expertise: hands-on with agentic AI to improve workflows.
• Experience building developer platforms and internal tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate CI/CD systems, tooling and platforms for rapid, safe shipping.
• Own the developer journey from code writing to deployment.
• Develop internal platforms and tooling to improve developer productivity.
• Provide infrastructure and paved paths for autonomous building, testing and shipping.
• Leverage AI-native workflows to improve the software lifecycle and safety nets.
• Participate in incident rotation and use data to drive platform improvements.
• Partner with engineering teams to drive adoption and coordinate changes.
