Job summary

Preply in London is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer for the R&D Automation team. You will combine backend software engineering with hands-on AI expertise to build agentic systems that transform how software is developed at Preply.

Design AI agents, reusable capabilities and workflows that connect AI with our engineering ecosystem and internal knowledge. You will experiment with new AI capabilities, measure impact, and scale the ones that create meaningful value across Engineering,

Qualifications

• Experience designing backend software systems
• Production Python experience
• Hands-on AI agent/workflows/platforms experience
• Understanding of agentic AI patterns and verification

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agents using Python
• Create reusable agent capabilities, tools and integrations
• Develop agentic workflows across Engineering, Product, Design and Data
• Experiment rapidly with new AI capabilities and scale successful ideas
• Design context, orchestration and verification for reliable agentic workflows
• Measure agent usage and value with data and feedback
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product and data teams
