Job summary

Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor is recruiting for a permanent full-time Practical Skills Supervisor in Dolgellau to teach plastering across level 1–3, including 14–16 provisions. The role involves planning and delivering hands-on sessions, site visits when needed, and ongoing learner support to ensure success.

The post requires a proactive team player who can contribute to course development and uphold high teaching standards in bilingual education.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastering and construction teaching.
• Ability to plan and deliver practical sessions.
• Proactive role in developing plastering courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach practical sessions to a high standard in the workshop.
• Ensure a professional and safe workshop environment.
• Maintain high standards of learning provision and learner support.
• Follow organisational policies and procedures.
• Support learners to achieve targets and participate in assessment of work.
• Deliver up to 1000 hours of direct learner contact annually and 500 hours of supervision in a practical workshop.
