Job summary

Balance Education Limited is seeking a Plastering/Dry Lining Trainer to support learners at our training centre and live sites. The role offers flexible days from 1 to 5 per week, with a permanent position on offer.

The trainer will combine practical delivery with site-based learner support and EPA preparation. Ideally, candidates will be trade-qualified with around 5+ years of industry experience and some teaching or assessing exposure.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified with 5+ years’ industry experience.
• Some teaching/training/assessing experience preferred.
• Open to tradespeople without teaching experience.

• Deliver Plastering & Dry Lining training.
• Visit and support learners on site.
• Conduct 1-to-1 learner sessions.

Are you an experienced Plasterer or Dry Liner who'd like to use your experience without necessarily being on the tools five days a week?

Or perhaps you're already teaching and looking for a role with more flexibility and variety.

We're working with a growing construction training provider looking for a Plastering/Dry Lining Trainer to support learners across their training centre and live construction sites.

The interesting bit? They can consider anything from 1 day per week through to full-time.

The role is based primarily in Lancashire, with occasional travel into Manchester and to learner sites.

What will you be doing?

It's a varied role rather than five days standing in a classroom.

You’ll combine practical training with site-based learner support, including:

• Delivering Plastering & Dry Lining training
• Visiting and supporting learners on site
• 1-to-1 learner sessions
• EPA preparation and support
• Pastoral support and helping learners progress

Who are we looking for?

Ideally, you'll be trade-qualified with around 5+ years' industry experience and some previous teaching, training or assessing experience.

No teaching experience? We'd still like to hear from you.

If you're an experienced tradesperson who is serious about moving into training and passing your knowledge onto the next generation, you could be a very good fit.

This could also suit someone approaching retirement who wants to reduce their days without stepping away from construction altogether.
