Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Construction Lecturer - Plastering Lecturer in Birmingham to deliver plastering training to students and apprentices. The role supports colleges in the area and involves teaching across levels 1–3 with emphasis on practical skills and industry standards.

You will work with colleges to raise achievement, align with apprenticeship standards, and utilise tools like Smart Assessor. DBS checks and ongoing professional development are expected.

Qualifications

• Relevant Construction Qualifications (Degree, Level 3 or other recognised quals).
• DBS (and update service) required.
• Great industry experience and knowledge (Crucial).
• Knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards and E-portfolio system (Smart Assessor) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Teach plastering to construction students at levels 1–3.
• Deliver high‑standard apprenticeship programs and construction courses.
• Assess students and provide constructive feedback on progress.
