Job summary

Hemiko are recruiting for a Senior Engineer (Plant) to report to the Technical Manager and support the Operations Department. The role focuses on delivering operation and maintenance services across our heat networks, with emphasis on commercial gas knowledge and non-gas plant such as pumps, valves, and strainers.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience working as a Commercial Plant Engineer or similar.
• NVQ Level 2-3 in Gas or Plumbing is required.
• Ability to read technical drawings (P&IDs, schematics) and perform safe isolation.

Responsibilities

• Under the Technical Manager, deliver maintenance and project work.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance on pumps, actuators, and heat exchangers.
• Repair and reinstatement of commercial plant and equipment.
• Fault finding and site repairs; reactive call-outs and on-call rota.
• Review root causes to improve reliability and network efficiency.
