Job summary

Hemiko are recruiting a Senior Engineer (Plant) to work under our Technical Manager and deliver value to the Operations Department. The role requires a strong competency within the commercial gas field and experience maintaining and operating commercial non-gas plant such as pumps, valves, and strainers.

District heating knowledge is preferred but not essential. The successful candidate will develop within a friendly, fast-growing team and contribute to reliability and efficiency across Hemiko's

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in Commercial Plant Engineering or similar.
• NVQ Level 2-3 in Gas or Plumbing.
• Knowledge of heat network energy centres and plantrooms.
• Ability to read technical drawings (P&IDs and mechanical schematics).

Responsibilities

• Work under the direct supervision of the Technical Manager.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance on pumps, actuators, plate heat exchangers, and pressurisation units.
• Repair and reinstatement of commercial plant and other equipment.
• Attend reactive call-outs to site and reinstate heat.
• Take part in on-call rota (typically 1 in 4).
• Maintain clear maintenance records and documentation.
