Job summary

Recruit4staff are representing a leading international infrastructure and civil engineering contractor in their search for a Planning Lead to work on a major South East London tunnelling and power project valued at approximately £1 billion.

As Planning Lead you will develop, maintain and interrogate detailed construction programmes across complex tunnelling and underground works, converting requirements into resourced plans and coordinating with engineering, commercial and site teams.

Qualifications

• HNC in a construction-related discipline or extensive civil engineering contracting experience.
• Proven tunnelling and ground engineering planning experience.
• Experience across tender and live project delivery stages.
• Ability to develop, resource, update and analyse detailed construction programmes.
• Strong understanding of programme, progress, change management and cost relationships.
• Experience programming and assessing compensation events.
• Proficient in planning software and office tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes across tunnelling and underground works.
• Convert contract requirements, design information and methods into a practical, fully resourced programme.
• Gather progress from engineering teams and subcontractors and monitor milestones.
• Identify delays, risks and interface issues before impact on delivery.
• Provide programme reports and support recovery strategies with stakeholders.
