HOCHTIEF-MURPHY Joint Venture (HMJV) in London is seeking an experienced Lead Planner to support major projects from our sites/offices. You will develop resourced programmes, check conformance with expectations, and produce visual planning outputs to inform decisions and tenders.
Ideal candidates will have an HNC in construction or equivalent civil engineering experience, with hands-on NEC contract planning, Primavera P6 and strong MS Office skills.
£80,000 - £85,000 per annum depending on skills and experience (plus company car or car allowance)
HOCHTIEF-MURPHY Joint Venture (HMJV) are looking to expand our project team with an experienced Lead Planner to be based in our London project sites/offices.
You will provide support to the project management team through the provision of an efficient and effective planning, scheduling and project performance reporting function for HMJV’s projects including London Power Tunnels Phase 2 (LPT2) and North West London Upgrade (NWLU) as well as potential upcoming tenders.
Within the role, you will prepare resourced programmes, including reviewing the outcome for conformance with expectations and requirements. You will also prepare visual material in support of planned methods and undertake programme risk analysis.
You should be able to define methods and establish outputs / productivity rates in consultation with other team members, including the supply chain.
The role requires you to be responsible for the production of external and internal programmes throughout the duration our projects and review construction progress with input from the construction team, update programmes and produce reports as necessary.
It is essential that you have a relevant HNC Construction related discipline or extensive experience in civil engineering contracting industry. Ideally, you’ll have experience in tunnelling/underground works, heavy civils, M&E and the power sector.
You must have active experience of working with a wide range of planning techniques in serving both tendering and contract delivery along with a clear understanding of the commercial and contractual interfaces with the planning function – in particular NEC contract planning.
You must be competent in the use of industry software and be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and Primavera P6. Knowledge of Tilos, Syncro and PowerBI is desirable.
