Job summary

VolkerWessels UK Ltd is seeking a Senior Planner for its Building Division, in Birmingham with hybrid working and site visits.

You will drive planning for projects from 1M to 100M in Industrial/Warehouse and Data Centre sectors, develop integrated tender programmes, monitor progress, and advise across multiple projects.

Asta Powerproject proficiency and understanding of JCT/NEC contracts are preferred; a full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Develop and produce fully logic linked tender programmes covering design, procurement, construction, testing and handover.
• Visit sites regularly to provide planning support and resolve challenges.
• Monitor progress and identify risks early to propose proactive solutions.
• Provide expert planning advice across multiple projects to influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Create bid-winning tender programmes aligned with client requirements.
• Lead planning activities on live projects to 1M–100M scales.
• Support site teams with scheduling and risk mitigation.
• Ensure programmes are robust and regularly updated.
