Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick is seeking a Senior Planner for the Southern Region within the Building Division. Based in the Midlands with regular site visits, the role requires a driving licence and offers hybrid working.

You’ll lead planning for projects from £1M to £100M across multiple sectors, using Asta Powerproject (P6 preferred) and liaising with stakeholders to enforce robust programmes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction planning within main contracting.
• Track record on tenders and live projects £1M–£100M.
• Proficient in Asta Powerproject; experience with P6 preferred.
• Understanding of JCT and NEC contracts and their impact on planning.
• Construction-related qualification.
• Strong communication and strategic influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop integrated bid tender programmes covering design, procurement, construction, testing and handover.
• Visit sites regularly to provide planning support and resolve challenges.
• Monitor progress and identify risks early with proactive solutions.
• Provide expert planning advice across multiple projects and influence outcomes.
