Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick, part of VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a Senior Planner for its Building Division in the Southern Region. The role is based at the Hoddesdon head office with regular site visits and hybrid working available. A full UK driving licence is essential.

You will lead pre-construction and delivery planning for projects from £1M to £100M across commercial, education, health & life sciences, and defence sectors, influencing outcomes and ensuring robust programmes.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction planning within the main contracting sector.
Strong track record on tenders and live projects valued £1M–£100M.
Proficient in Asta Powerproject; experience with P6 preferred.
Understanding of JCT and NEC contract conditions and their impact on planning.

Responsibilities

Develop and produce fully logic linked and integrated bid-winning programmes covering design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover strategies.
Visit sites regularly to provide hands-on planning support and resolve challenges.
Monitor progress and identify risks early, implementing proactive solutions.
Provide expert planning advice across multiple projects to influence outcomes.
