Job summary

Gold Group is seeking a Senior Planner in Manchester to lead robust construction programmes for major projects across the North West. You will develop and manage detailed programmes, work with Project Directors and site teams, and drive performance using your planning expertise.

The ideal candidate has 4-5+ years’ planning experience in UK main contracting, strong knowledge of construction methodologies and proficiency with Asta Powerproject.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years' planning experience on UK construction projects.
• Strong UK main contracting background.
• Proven site-based planning on major schemes.
• Experience delivering projects valued £50m–£300m is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain detailed construction programmes using Asta Powerproject.
• Collaborate with Project Directors, Project Managers and site teams to drive performance.
• Provide hands-on planning support throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Coordinate with commercial, design, procurement and engineering teams.
• Develop sequencing and methodologies in conjunction with the site team.
• Support project reviews and provide planning advice to senior stakeholders.
• Assist with short-, medium- and long-term planning to ensure delivery.
• Challenge programme performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity.
