Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick, based in Birmingham, is seeking a Senior Planner to join the Building Division. You’ll drive pre-construction and delivery planning for projects from £1M to £100M, with regular site visits and a hybrid working pattern.

The role requires proven construction planning experience, strong tender and live project planning, and proficiency in Asta Powerproject (P6 preferred). A UK driving licence is essential, and you’ll collaborate across stakeholders to keep programmes robust and

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction planning within main contracting Build.
• Experience with tenders and live projects valued £1M–£100M.
• Understanding of JCT and NEC contract conditions and their impact on planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce fully logic linked tender programmes for design, procurement, construction, testing and handover.
• Visit sites regularly to provide planning support and resolve challenges.
• Monitor progress and identify risks early with proactive solutions.
• Provide expert planning advice across multiple projects to influence outcomes.
