Job summary

NG Bailey is seeking a Senior Planner (MEP/Building Services) for a permanent role in Banbury. The Senior Planner will drive the planning function on a major infrastructure project, producing workable programmes that meet contract standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities include monthly progress submissions, dashboard reporting, and weekly updates. The role requires substantial planning expertise on large construction projects and familiarity with NEC contracts.

Qualifications

• Considerable experience in a planning role on medium to large construction projects, with MEP/Building Services experience.
• Construction site experience.
• Primavera proficient.
• NEC knowledge.
• A relevant industry or professional qualification/apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure planning activities comply with contractual obligations, internal processes and external legislation.
• Arrange and facilitate integrated planning meetings with stakeholders to develop and agree the plan.
• Participate in bid activities as required.
• Produce/agree contract baseline programme for each project.
• Maintain contract baseline and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Monitor progress against the project plan and produce reports for all stakeholders.
• Support contract reviews and agree corrective measures with operational teams.
• Perform time/risk analysis with the planning manager and project manager.

Senior Planner - (MEP/Building Services)

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our team to work on a major infrastructure project.

The main purpose of the role is to drive the planning function on this project and produce workable realistic and efficient programmes of work which meet an appropriate standard for the contract conditions and both internal and client requirements. Monthly progress submissions, dashboard creating for reporting and weekly updates will be staple tasks in this role.

Key deliverables in this role are:

• Ensure that all planning related activities are carried out in compliance with contractual obligations, internal processes and external legislation governing business operations
• Arrange and facilitate integrated planning meetings, engaging with all relevant stakeholders to develop and agree the plan
• Participate within bid activities as required
• Work closely with relevant project personnel and external customer in order to produce/ agree a contract baseline programme for each allocated project
• Maintain and update contract baseline in line with any agreed contract changes, ensuring changes are communicated to all stakeholders
• Ensure that progress and productivity is effectively monitored against project plan, produce clear reports for all stakeholders
• Ensure that planning outputs/reports are produced for contract reviews. Support the operational teams in order to ascertain whether project targets are being achieved and jointly establish and agree any corrective measures where necessary.
• Perform time/risk analysis against programmes at regular intervals with the planning manager/senior planner, and the project manager.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Considerable experience in a planning role on medium to large construction projects. We would be looking for someone with experience of MEP / Building Services projects.

• A relevant industry or professional qualification/apprenticeship.
