Job summary

Franco Manca is seeking a Senior Pizza Chef in the United Kingdom to lead a busy kitchen, crafting sourdough pizzas and guiding a team to deliver top-quality service. The role emphasizes hands-on dough work, wood-fired cooking, and upholding high standards across the kitchen.

You will mentor junior staff, ensure consistent quality, manage stock, and maintain a smooth flow during peak hours, while embodying Franco Manca’s values of teamwork and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pizza chef or in a professional kitchen environment.
• Confident with dough handling and wood-fired ovens.
• Strong leadership and team-supportive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the kitchen to craft every pizza with care.
• Prepare and cook sourdough pizzas to perfection.
• Support the Head Chef in maintaining high standards of quality, consistency and hygiene.
• Mentor and train junior team members with knowledge and guidance.
• Hands-on dough preparation, topping pizzas with fresh ingredients, firing in wood ovens.
• Maintain calm and efficiency during busy shifts; keep operations smooth.
• Oversee stock management and food prep to prep for service.

• £13.26 – 16.26 per hour OTE (including service charge - our data says you can earn between £1.5 to £3 per hour on top of your pay)
