Job summary

Senior Physiotherapist at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to join the Elderly Medicine Therapy team at Royal Derby Hospital. The post offers a permanent senior clinical role, where you will lead, supervise and develop colleagues while managing a caseload in a dynamic, busy environment serving elderly wards and general medicine.

You will work with an established MDT, delegate effectively, support junior staff, and contribute to service development.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with the elderly population.
• Ability to manage complex discharges in a fast paced acute hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload independently and provide supervision and support to junior physiotherapy staff and assistants as necessary.
• Adapt and delegate work effectively to ensure priorities across the service are covered.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and other therapy staff within Elderly Medicine and General Medicine.
• Play an active role in the development of the service and individuals within the service.
