Job summary

Arup's Resilience, Security and Risk team seeks an experienced Senior Security Consultant / Systems Engineer to lead security design packages across diverse projects. You will translate security strategies and risk assessments into buildable designs and deliver high-quality solutions aligned with project objectives.

Responsibilities include surveys, assessing forced-entry resistance, developing layered security and coordinating with architecture and building services teams.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge in designing physical security measures for buildings and assets.
• Experience applying threat assessments and risk assessments with relevant guidance.
• Delivery of security consultancy or assurance services in sensitive environments.
• Understanding of integrated security solutions including video surveillance and access control.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking physical security surveys and identifying site-specific risks.
• Assessing forced-entry resistance of building elements and safeguards.
• Developing layered security and hardening solutions for facilities.
• Preparing Security Management Plans and technical specifications.
• Coordinating security requirements with architecture and building services teams.
• Performing technical reviews, design surveys and inspections.
• Communicating complex security requirements clearly to clients and project teams.
