Job summary

Lendable in the UK is seeking a Senior PHP Engineer to join a vibrant engineering community of 160+ developers. You’ll work across backend, frontend, mobile and platform disciplines, building APIs and modernizing our lending platforms.

You’ll dive into architectural discussions, own significant parts of the tech stack, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-growing fintech environment that values experimentation and delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong PHP development experience (PHP 8+).
• Fluent in modern PHP features and best practices.
• Experience with Symfony or Laravel.
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design, Event Sourcing, and messaging.
• Microservices experience in financial systems is a bonus.
• Excellent automated testing skills (unit/integration/functional).
• Desire to learn, collaborate and contribute in a highly collaborative team.
• High ownership and autonomy.
• Experience in cross-functional environments is a plus.
