Job Description
ASOS STUDIOS Senior Photographer
Seniors at ASOS are experienced leaders with a talented eye for creativity and practical implementation. You will work closely with the Photography Manager and senior teams to train, mentor, and inspire the team to produce industry-leading ecommerce assets for our product pages, targeting our 20-something customer. You will drive departmental efficiency while thinking commercially and innovatively, leading with a creative, strategic, and operational mindset.
What You’ll Be Doing…
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of your Photographer team, primarily managing product page enrichment for over 1000 products daily.
- Shooting products to high standards across model and non-model studios.
- Executing a range of creative projects including campaigns and social media, using varied techniques including mobile photography.
- Providing high-quality model direction to ensure energy, authenticity, and engagement, coaching the team to bring out expressive, fashion-forward movements aligned with the ASOS aesthetic.
- Managing creative implementation, budgets, cost per product, and volumetric KPIs.
- Leading a team of Midweight and Junior Photographers, monitoring processes and performance.
- Creating and maintaining shoot guides from a photography perspective.
- Ensuring photographers meet styling expectations per segment.
- Collaborating with Senior Photography team to evolve strategies based on current trends and fashion relevancy.
- Leading pre-shoot planning and preparation.
- Overseeing equipment orders and liaising with suppliers to adhere to budget.
- Conducting workshops and training in various creative specialties.
- Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop photography technologies and oversee equipment upgrades.
- Maintaining studio equipment, ensuring optimal condition and timely replacements.
- Managing a direct report line of at least four team members.
- Monitoring team KPIs and SLAs, identifying opportunities for quality and efficiency improvements.
- Conducting regular 1-2-1s for personal development and progression.
- Planning for team succession and encouraging growth and development.
- Leading team and departmental meetings, fostering a culture of authenticity, bravery, and creativity.
- Developing leadership and communication styles aligned with ASOS Behaviours.
- Collaborating with other team leaders to deliver departmental strategies.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders, championing ASOS Studios in all interactions.
- Staying aware of market trends and competition to maintain market leadership.
- Designing automated workflows to improve departmental processes.
- Overseeing departmental technology launches.
- Delivering projects supporting departmental strategy and handling ad-hoc tasks.
- Supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Qualifications
