Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our medicines management team at Wathwood Hospital. You will work closely with clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide a quality medicines management service across wards, supporting medicines optimisation.

Key duties include assessing patients’ own drugs, ordering named patient medications, counselling patients about their medicines, coordinating discharge

Qualificações

• Experience in hospital pharmacy, preferably in mental health settings.
• Eligibility to register with the GPhC within the next few months.
• Full UK driving license and vehicle for business use, with adjustments per Equality Act.
• Ability to work across ward-based teams and support medicines optimisation.

Responsabilidades

• Assessing the suitability of patients’ own drugs for use.
• Ordering named patient medication.
• Counselling patients about their medicines.
• Co-ordinating supply of discharge medicines.
• Supporting audit and quality improvement initiatives.
• Help training of staff including pre-registration pharmacy technicians, pharmacy technicians and trainee pharmacists.
• Regular dispensary slots including final accuracy checking.
