Job summary

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician to lead the development and optimisation of Electronic Prescribing and Pharmacy IT systems. You will be part of a collaborative team enhancing patient safety and service quality through digital innovation.

You will support the safe use of electronic prescribing, maintain electronic formularies and analyse prescribing data to inform improvements and costs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician with NHS exposure.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to analyse data and support digital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support development, maintenance and optimisation of Electronic Prescribing and Pharmacy IT systems.
• Provide expert pharmacy technician advice to support safe use of electronic prescribing across the Trust.
• Support the implementation of electronic systems and digital projects in line with Trust plans.
• Manage electronic formularies and work with ICBs, networks and governance groups.
• Analyse prescribing trends, medicines usage and complex data to inform service improvement and governance.
• Produce and present reports on medicines usage, system performance, activity and costs to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to maximise digital technology to improve efficiency and patient safety across pharmacy services.
