Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a senior pharmacy operations lead to oversee ward-based medicines management and dispensary services. You will line-manage a large pharmacy technician workforce, drive workforce transformation, and lead service improvement across pharmacy operations to enhance patient outcomes.

You will ensure governance, budget management and KPI development while collaborating with clinicians and senior managers on site-wide planning.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in-depth experience leading technical services.
• NVQ Level 3 or BTEC in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
• BTEC Professional Diploma in Final Accuracy Checking (if applicable).
• A1 NVQ Assessor qualification and postgraduate management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational management of ward-based medicines management and dispensary services.
• Line manage a large pharmacy technician workforce and oversee service transformation.
• Manage budgets and drive efficiency programmes across pharmacy operations.
• Develop KPIs and monitor performance to ensure patient safety and outcomes.
• Oversee governance, incidents, risks, audits and quality improvement.
• Represent pharmacy in site-wide strategic planning and health and safety initiatives.
