Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced theatre nurse with anaesthetic qualifications to join the team across elective, emergency, trauma and obstetric theatres. • Registered with NMC with anaesthetic qualification.
• Registered with HCPC.
• Experience in emergency and elective anaesthesia.
• Obstetric anaesthetic experience.
• Teaching qualification.
• IT skills and patient management system experience.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake nursing/anaesthetic procedures per policies and ensure understanding.
• Maintain accurate theatre records using appropriate IT systems.
• Support ongoing improvement via NICE AFPP guidelines.
• Promote safe working practices in line with Health & Safety laws.
• Act as a role model, mentor staff, and teach theatre practice.
• Mentor theatre staff to promote education and training.
• Stay updated on local/trust initiatives and improvements.
• Support management with clinical care and resource management.
