Job summary

Chip – your wealth app is seeking a Senior QA Engineer, Performance & Scalability to own performance across 30+ microservices and production-like environments. You’ll set thresholds, drive SLOs, and embed performance thinking from day one, shaping how teams test, ship, and monitor complex fintech systems.

You’ll lead performance discussions, design scalable tests, and ensure feedback loops are fast and actionable, protecting user experience as the platform grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in performance engineering, owning performance across complex systems.
• Hands-on experience with load, stress, soak and spike tests and interpreting results.
• Proficiency with k6 for building and running performance tests.

Responsibilities

• Embed performance thinking into the delivery plan from day one.
• Define thresholds, metrics, and SLOs for pass or fail.
• Design and run performance tests for services, including isolation using stubs/mocks.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable fail-fast signals.
• Diagnose regressions by reading logs and tracing distributed requests.
• Engage stakeholders to drive outcomes and push for improvements.
