Job summary

Moneybox is seeking a Senior QA engineer to join a fast-growing fintech team. You will be hands-on, leading QA efforts, owning testing for multiple projects and reporting into the Senior QA lead.

You will drive risk-based testing, collaborate with developers and Compliance, and guide automation initiatives. You’ll mentor engineers, promote quality as a shared responsibility, and advocate AI-assisted approaches across the testing lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of broad QA experience including Senior/Lead QA responsibilities.
• Extensive backend testing, APIs, databases, migrations, and 3rd party integrations.
• Deep understanding of testing Mobile apps and Web technologies.
• Experience with automated testing techniques and test data design.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve testing efficiency.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and foster quality ownership across teams.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on role as the senior QA in a squad, reporting to the Senior QA lead.
• Deliver large and complex projects with effective prioritisation and time management.
• Promote a quality culture, focusing on risk-based testing over traditional ticket testing.
• Define testing and release strategies with stakeholders and Compliance.
• Run cross-functional meetings to coordinate and prioritise issues.
• Advocate AI tools in the testing lifecycle while validating outcomes with human judgment.
• Contribute to end-to-end automation by building and promoting stable tests.
• Mentor and coach team members and support QA operations across the function.
• Represent Moneybox in the tech community and share fresh ideas.
