Job summary

Capgemini in the United Kingdom seeks a Lead Performance Engineer to head a team delivering assurance across complex client programmes. You will define performance strategy, non-functional requirements and quality gates, ensuring systems are scalable, resilient and production-ready.

You will work with engineering, architecture, DevOps, SRE, cloud and business teams to embed performance engineering throughout the delivery lifecycle in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience in enterprise performance engineering and non-functional testing.
• Experience leading and directing performance engineering teams.
• Hands-on with performance testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, Gatling or k6).
• Experience designing load, stress, endurance, scalability and failover testing for web apps, APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and CI/CD integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach performance engineering teams to deliver quality outcomes.
• Set performance strategy, requirements and quality gates for client programmes.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, SRE and platform teams to embed performance practices.
• Utilize monitoring and telemetry to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.
