Street Group in Manchester is seeking a Senior People Partner to scale a lean People team and shape the systems that drive excellence as we grow. This hybrid role offers up to 4 days WFH and a market salary of £60,000-£70,000.
You will partner with the Head of People to design and implement an internal levels framework, compensation and reward programs, and coaching to elevate team performance across the organisation.
Manchester, UK (Hybrid 4 days WFH) | £60,000 - £70,000
Street Group is a fast moving B2B SaaS business - grown in Manchester but on a UK wide mission to make moving house as easy as buying a car. We’ve recently raised Series B funding, and are scaling fast toward an ambitious growth plan - and we’re looking for a Senior People Partner to ensure we get there.
Over the past 6 years, our People team has designed, built, and implemented the people processes that have scaled Street Group from 30 - 230 people. But we know that systems that work at 150 people can break at 300 - and we want to get ahead of that.
This is an opportunity for someone who has been through that scaling journey before to have an oversized impact on a small but ambitious People team to become best in class.
If you know what can impact culture both positively and negatively as a company grows; have experience building systems that both set people up to do their best work AND that scale alongside the business; and embrace AI and the positive impact it can have on employee experience - we think you might do great work here.
Our People team is lean - and as we mature as a business, there’s limited capacity to ensure we’re constantly innovating and improving the mechanisms that enable people to do their best work. We have ambitious goals to achieve - now is the time to fine-tune our People function to ensure the business hits those goals.
In 2026, over half of the business told us they don't know what excellence looks like in their role, or how excellence is rewarded. This is the crux of this role; to build the systems, processes and reward that sets people up for success and ensure we reward and retain our best people.
Over the next 12-18 months, this will mean you'll be working with our Head of People and People Partner on initiatives that clarify excellence and reward - our internal levels framework, compensation & reward, embedding our excellence standard throughout the business, and coaching managers on a team by team basis to increase overall performance.
An experienced People Partner passionate about their craft; curious about how technology and innovation is changing the People landscape, and constantly looking for more impactful ways to support the business.
A commercial mindset - e.g. you measure your results on impact on business and team performance rather than work shipped.
An AI-native mindset: you treat AI as leverage and are keen to learn from our team, and share what’s been working for you - but understand the nuances of where AI can never replace genuine People Partnering.
The credibility and communication skills to bring busy managers on the journey with you.
Someone who makes the team better on purpose, not by accident: you share what you know and help develop the people around you.
We'd rather be honest up front, because this role won’t be for everyone.
If you want to move into people management. This is a senior IC role. You'll coach, share knowledge, and set standards, but you won't have direct reports. If a management title is what you're chasing now or in the imminent future, this isn’t the job for you.
If you haven't been through a similar scaling journey in SaaS businesses before. Our People team is home grown; we're specifically looking for the experience and knowledge that comes from having been there/done that before, and can prevent us from making common mistakes.
If AI feels like a threat rather than a tool. We love Claude Cowork, and have both built and used multiple other tools to improve and speed up our ways of working. We have a company-wide expectation that AI is utilised, so it will be a large part of this role.
If you want a role where you'll be spending a lot of time on pastoral employee interactions. This isn't going to be the main part of this role - you'll be spending most of your time building a culture of excellence.
We recognise that women and people from underrepresented groups often apply for jobs only when they meet every single requirement listed. If you fall into that category and are about to rule yourself out based on the above criteria, please consider applying anyway. We'd love to see your application!
We’re an award-winning PropTech business based in Manchester, founded in 2015 by brother and sister duo, Tom & Heather Staff. £60,000 - £70,000, depending on experience. However, sometimes the perfect person is far more or less experienced than we anticipated. In these situations, planned ranges go out the window. If you think that might be the case, please apply and just let us know.
We care deeply about helping the tech industry become a more inclusive and diverse place, and we work hard to lead by example. We are committed to Equal Employment Opportunity through attracting and retaining a complementary team of employees and building an inclusive environment for all. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK and be able to perform the work specified.
3 stages = 60-minute video call with our Head of People > In-person interview with two members of the People team > Final interview with two members of our SLT.
We want to make our interviews as inclusive as possible, so if you need any adjustments made or if there's anything you think we should be aware of during the interview process, please do let us know.
As a fast-moving and rapidly evolving tech company, we embrace the advantages of AI and encourage its use throughout our application process. However, our goal is to get to know and hire the authentic you - your skills, experience, and values. We don’t want to hire an AI-generated version of you. We consider AI to be a valuable tool, not something that should shadow you as an individual.
Candidate experience is really important to us, and our Talent team use AI notetakers during interviews so they can focus purely on their conversation with you. All hiring decisions are made by humans - not AI. Let us know if you have any questions!
Compensation: £60K – £70K
