Job summary

Sammons Group in West Midlands invites an experienced Pensions Scheme Actuary to join our growing team. You will act as Scheme Actuary for multiple pension schemes, delivering expert guidance and regulated advice.

You will lead strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, represent the firm externally, build networks, and drive client growth. Fellows of IFoA with a practicing certificate and strong DB knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

Fellowship of IFoA required.
Current Scheme Actuary Practicing Certificate.
Proven experience managing a portfolio of Scheme Actuary appointments.
Broad post-qualification exposure with strong knowledge of DB pension schemes.
Expertise in pension scheme accounting, covenant valuation, and regulatory frameworks (tPR, PPF, FAS).
Experience delivering regulated investment advice is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Act as Scheme Actuary for multiple pension schemes, delivering expert guidance and regulated advice.
Lead strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency and evolve business practices.
Represent the firm externally, building networks and driving client growth.
Provide senior peer review and coach colleagues towards actuarial qualification.
Attend trustee, client, and internal meetings
