Job summary

Sammons Group in the West Midlands is seeking an Actuarial Team Manager to lead a team of consultants delivering actuarial services for DB pension schemes. The role combines team leadership, process improvement and client relationship work, with a hybrid working pattern and involvement from day one in shaping the firm's evolution.

You will oversee technical delivery, develop pensions strategies for corporate, public and not-for-profit clients, and contribute to project delivery while growing

Qualifications

• Current Scheme Actuary Practicing Certificate.
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of Scheme Actuary appointments.
• Broad industry exposure post-qualification, with strong knowledge of DB pension schemes.
• Expertise in pension scheme accounting, covenant valuation, and regulatory frameworks (tPR, PPF, FAS).

Responsibilities

• Oversee team of Consultants, ensuring best practice
• Enhance processes and procedures
• Develop pensions strategies for corporate, public, and not-for-profit organisations.
• Work on technical aspects of projects, build relationships with clients, and develop those around you.
• Assist with delivery of Actuarial services when needed
