Job summary

Bradford Corporation invites applications for a Pensions Senior Systems Engineer to drive automation of administration systems within our public sector pensions operations. You will work closely with the digital team and pension stakeholders to deliver efficient automated processes and accurate benefit calculations.

The role requires a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, 5+ years in financial services development, strong SQL and Python skills, plus cloud/API experience and a DBS check with

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in a bespoke financial services development environment.
• Strong programming skills, databases, and experience with cloud computing and APIs.
• Expert knowledge of SQL and Python as development tools.
• Strong understanding of database schemas and stored procedures.
• Expert knowledge in automating workflows and robotics.
• Strong attention to detail with a good level of mathematical knowledge.
• Expert experience of online automation into administration systems.

Responsibilities

• Automate individual and bulk processes through administration and online portals.
• Create benefit calculations and maintain the technical specifications for these.
• Agree requirements, scope, ROI and specification of system changes with the Head of Pensions Systems Development.
• Plan and deliver a continuous program of systems upgrades and development to gain accuracy and efficiency in the fire pension schemes.
