Job summary

North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Senior Peer Support Worker Supervisor to support inpatient services with supervision, coaching and development of Peer Support Workers. This role emphasizes recovery-focused, trauma-informed practice and strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

You will champion lived experience, empower service users, and work to strengthen peer support across the Trust’s inpatient and community pathways.

Qualifications

• Essential criteria include a degree-level qualification in a relevant field.
• Completion of a Level 2 accredited Peer Mentor training programme.
• Evidence of knowledge of mental health recovery principles and WRAP/advance statement as per job description.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop Peer Support Workers across inpatient services.
• Provide individual and group supervision, coaching and reflective support.
• Promote recovery-focused, trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
• Support continuation and development of peer support roles within the Trust.
