Job summary

North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare Trust in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Band 5 Senior Peer Support Worker Supervisor. You will supervise Peer Support Workers, promote recovery-focused care and lead training across inpatient services.

The role requires personal lived experience of mental health challenges, plus experience in peer support, supervision and co-production of care plans within a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a relevant field.
• Completion of a Level 2 accredited Peer Mentor training programme.
• Evidence of knowledge of mental health recovery principles and WRAP/advance statement.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group supervision, coaching and reflective support to Peer Support Workers.
• Support development and sustainability of peer support across inpatient services.
• Promote recovery-focused, trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
• Champion inclusion, challenge stigma and discrimination, and uphold values.
• Contribute to training, group facilitation and service improvement.
• Build partnerships with recovery champions and community organisations.
