Job summary

A respected environmental consultancy in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Peatland Hydrology Consultant. The ideal candidate will lead peatland surveys and contribute to environmental assessments, focusing on restoration and management. This hybrid role offers flexible working and the opportunity to impact sustainable development in Scotland. Strong experience and a relevant environmental degree are required.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in peatland hydrology, ideally within consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of the Peatland Code and Peatland ACTION framework.
• Direct experience in undertaking peatland surveys and writing technical assessments.
• Membership of a professional body, working towards Chartered status.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of peatland surveys and feasibility studies.
• Contribute to Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs).
• Deliver consultancy services focused on peatland restoration.
• Conduct site surveys in rural locations.
