The ideal candidate will lead peatland surveys and contribute to environmental assessments, focusing on restoration and management. Qualifications

• Strong experience in peatland hydrology, ideally within consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of the Peatland Code and Peatland ACTION framework.
• Direct experience in undertaking peatland surveys and writing technical assessments.
• Membership of a professional body, working towards Chartered status.
• Full UK driving license.

Senior Peatland Hydrology Consultant, Glasgow, COR7243. The position may involve office-based work and site surveys in rural locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the preparation of peatland surveys, feasibility studies, and Peat Management Plans.
• Contribute to technical chapters of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs).
• Deliver high-quality environmental consultancy services with a focus on peatland restoration, management and assessment across a range of sectors.
• Carry out site surveys in rural locations as part of a hybrid office/site role.
