Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd. in Glasgow is seeking an Associate Hydrogeologist to lead hydrogeology and water environment projects across infrastructure, renewables and built environment sectors. You will deliver technical work, manage client relationships and mentor junior staff, with a hybrid working pattern.

Applicants should have substantial UK hydrogeology experience, a relevant degree, strong reporting skills and driving licence, with chartership encouraged.

Qualifications

• Substantial UK hydrogeology or water environment experience.
• Degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Geoscience or related discipline.
• Strong hydrogeological assessment and water monitoring experience.
• Knowledge of UK water legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Strong technical reporting, client and communication skills.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership.
• A driving licence permitting you to drive in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydrogeological assessments, investigations and monitoring programmes.
• Prepare and review EIA water chapters.
• Conduct water environment assessments, abstraction licensing and groundwater permitting.
• Perform technical analysis, interpretation and reporting.
• Manage client relationships and support proposals.
• Lead multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Mentor and develop scientists and hydrogeologists.
