Senior Consultant - Peatland Hydrology

Glasgow / London | Hybrid Working Available
£36,000-£45,000, depending on experience

Are you passionate about peatland and its role in climate resilience? We're a purpose-driven environmental consultancy looking for a Senior Peatland Hydrology Consultant to join our growing team.

What You'll Do:

You'll lead field-based peatland hydrology surveys across rural Scotland, as well as contribute technically to planning and EIAR deliverables. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Producing Peat Management Plans, restoration designs, feasibility studies, and GWDTE/PLHRA assessments.


• Authoring Hydrology, Hydrogeology and Soils chapters for EIARs.


• Working closely with planners, ecologists, engineers and other specialists to deliver joined-up advice.


• Engaging with regulators such as SEPA and EA.


• Supporting tender development and proposals.

What You'll Bring:

• 3-5+ years of peatland hydrology experience.


• A degree in environmental science or a related field.


• Membership of a relevant professional body and working toward chartered status.


• Strong working knowledge of the Peatland Code and Peatland ACTION framework.


• Solid communication skills and a full UK driving licence.
