Job summary

BAE Systems Defence Solutions (Maritime Services) in Cowes, Isle of Wight seeks an experienced PCB Designer to join a small specialist team delivering complex PCB designs for advanced electronic systems. You will take designs from concept through to manufacturing data packs, working closely with electronics, mechanical and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Expert Cadence Allegro experience and PCB layout for complex boards.
• Experience with large boards (up to 24 layers, 2000+ components).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IPC-610 standards.
• HND or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Produce large, multi-layer PCB designs (up to 24 layers).
• Spearhead from concepts through to manufacturing data packs.
• Create and maintain manufacturing data packs.
• Support design and peer reviews.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electronics and manufacturing teams for DFM/DFT.
• Maintain component libraries and toolsets.
• Modify and maintain legacy designs.
• Mentor engineers and other designers on constraints files and tools.
