Job summary

Cherry Professional is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Technician to own a portfolio of client payrolls, ensuring accurate, compliant and responsive service. You will manage weekly and monthly payroll cycles, support year-end activity, and act as a key contact for payroll queries.

You will work closely with the Payroll Manager and colleagues to deliver excellent client service, liaising with HMRC, managing RTI and Auto Enrolment impacts, and handling year-end processes with meticulous

Qualifications

  • 3 years’ practical payroll processing experience (ideally within a payroll bureau environment or practice).
  • Strong experience of payroll calculations and processing, including manual calculations.
  • Working knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory payments.
  • Thorough understanding of RTI and Auto Enrolment legislation, and its practical impact on client payrolls.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of payrolls, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines consistently.
