Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited is seeking a motivated payroll professional to join our client-focused team in the UK. You will manage end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation while building solid relationships with clients and HMRC queries.

Responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients across multiple pay frequencies.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and acting as their first point of contact for payroll queries.
  • Accurately inputting and validating payroll data, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Reconciling payroll information and producing payroll reports and employee payslips.
  • Preparing payroll journals and PAYE reconciliations.
  • Creating and submitting BACS payment files.
  • Administering Pension Auto-Enrolment, including declarations and ongoing compliance with The Pensions Regulator requirements.
  • Preparing and submitting pension scheme returns, processing member changes and liaising with pension providers.
  • Responding to queries from clients, HMRC and internal teams in a professional and timely manner.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation and best practice to ensure continued compliance.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual wanting to develop their career in Payroll. Working within our hugely personable, supportive, and experienced Payroll team, we will offer you the chance to gain that all-important experience by managing your own client portfolio from start to finish and assisting senior team members when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients across multiple pay frequencies
