Canterbury-based practice TPF Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead a sizeable payroll function within a well-established accountancy practice. You will manage weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls and develop the payroll team while building strong client relationships in a busy, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive payroll experience within accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
• Experience supervising payroll staff.
• Strong knowledge of current payroll legislation.
• Excellent client liaison and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee, support and develop the payroll team, reviewing work and providing guidance.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and responding to payroll queries.
• Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and manage all reporting and submissions.
• Oversee workplace pension and auto enrolment requirements, including assessments and submissions.
• Support development of efficient systems and processes across the department.
