TPF Recruitment Ltd is representing a fantastic firm of chartered accountants in Maidstone for a Payroll Senior position. This pivotal role offers autonomy of the payroll function, managing 140 clients and ensuring deadlines are met.

The ideal candidate will be CIPP qualified (or part qualified/qualified by experience) with experience in weekly and monthly payrolls and adept with Sage, Iris, BrightPay and Moneysoft. A competitive benefits package is on offer.

Responsibilities

• Full payroll function including setting up and registering with HMRC.
• Run payroll within current legislation and keep records up to date.
• Calculate tax, national insurance and pension manually or using a computer program.
• Demonstrate time management to meet payroll deadlines.
• Perform real-time submissions, year-end submissions and P11Ds.
• Implement auto-enrolment for pensions.
• Collate and enter payroll journals.
• CIS submissions and adjust PAYE payments for clients.

TPF Recruitment are representing a fantastic firm of chartered accountants based in Maidstone, Mid Kent in their search for a Payroll Senior. This is a really exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, modern and forward thinking practice that has a great reputation in Kent and across the South East.

Our Client is a highly reputable firm of chartered accountants based in Maidstone, East Kent. As well as providing a compliance service, their main efforts are put in to providing good quality business and personal advice. The practice provides a holistic accounting service across accounts, tax, audit, payroll, bookkeeping, CIS and VAT; and services clients of all sizes across a range of sectors including manufacturing, professional services, marketing, sales, start ups ect. They are very modern in their approach and utilise the latest software. Clients range from startups through to £30m+ T/O.

This is a pivotal role, reporting in to the Directors of the business and you will have full autonomy of the firms payroll department, looking after 140 clients.

The remit of the position will be built around the applicant to include:

• Full payroll function including setting up and registering with HMRC.
• Run payroll within current legislation keeping all records up to date.
• Calculate tax, national insurance and pension manually or on a computer program.
• Time management so payroll deadlines are achieved.
• Calculate statuary SSP, SMP and SPP where due.
• Real time submissions, final year end submission and P11d’s
• Pension implementation for auto enrolment.
• Calculating statuary payments and annual leave.
• Liaise with clients, colleagues, external agencies concerning payroll.
• Auditing of payroll and input.
• Training other staff on payroll.
• Collating and entering payroll journals.
• CIS submissions and adjust for suffered payments and balance PAYE payments for client.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate for this Payroll Senior vacancy will have either bureau or accountancy practice payroll experience.
• Be CIPP qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience
• Have experience in dealing with a mix of weekly and monthly payrolls
• Be hard working and up for a challenge in a fast paced working environment
• Have good software (Sage, Iris, Brightpay, Moneysoft etc.) and technical payroll knowledge
